NJ Devils
The Devils
continue to honor top student athletes throughout the state of
New Jersey with its High School Player of the Month/Year
program. Each month from December through February, six
student-athlete hockey players from different conferences are
selected as recipients of the award. An All-Tournament Team is
selected in March and an overall High School Player of the
Year is chosen at the conclusion of the season. Winners are
based on nominations received from varsity ice hockey coaches
throughout the state. Award winners and their guests receive
complimentary tickets to a Devils' game, a plaque presented by
a Devils' player, and dinner at the Continental Airlines
Arena's Winners Club. Last season's Player of the Year was
Matt Cacciotti of Seton Hall Prep.
